Teenteen Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 November 2026
Welcome to Teenteen. These Terms are an agreement between you and Teenteen, a venture in formation run by its founders (see About us), New York, NY ("Teenteen", "we", "us"), about using teenteen.co, our sign-up forms and the Teenteen reviews pilot (the "Service"). Teenteen is not a company yet; when it is, the company will take over these Terms and we'll tell you. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
By signing up or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're under 18, we'll let your parent or legal guardian know you joined, and send them a link to these Terms.
1. Who can use Teenteen
- Teens and young adults 13–21. Teenteen is not for children under 13.
- If you're 13–17, you can join right away. You give us a parent's or guardian's email, and we let them know. Your parent can delete your account at any time until you turn 18, and their OK is needed before you can use rewards.
- Parents and business contacts must be 18 or older. A parent may give consent only for their own child or a child they're legally responsible for.
- Businesses must be represented by someone authorized to act for them.
2. The pilot
The Service is an early pilot: the website and a first version of teen reviews. The full family app is still being built. The pilot is free. Features may change, stop or have bugs, and we may end the pilot at any time. We'll tell you before anything you've joined changes in a way that matters to you.
3. Your account
- Give true information – especially your date of birth.
- Choose a nickname for your reviews – not your real name, and nothing rude or pretending to be someone else. We may ask you to change it.
- Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us at hello@teenteen.co if someone uses your account without permission.
- One person, one account.
- Adding your teens. A parent may add only their own children, or teens they're legally responsible for.
- Confirm your email. When you sign up, we send a link to your email. Your account starts only after you confirm it, and unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days.
- Private groups (coming with the app). You'll be able to create or join private groups – your family or your friends – by invitation only. People in a group you're in can see your name, nickname, age and reviews. There's no chat.
4. Reviews
- Review only places and experiences you really went to – with family, friends or on your own. One review per visit.
- Be honest. A thumbs down is as useful as a thumbs up.
- Reviews are public. They're shown to everyone, including businesses, with your nickname and age – never your real name, a photo, your email or contact details.
- Don't review a business you or your family own or work for, or that gave or offered you something for the review.
- You keep ownership of your reviews. You give Teenteen a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to publish them (with your nickname and age), show ratings, award the Teens Approved stamp and improve the Service.
- If you delete your account, your reviews stay on Teenteen, still shown with your nickname and age. You can delete any of your reviews yourself, or ask us to delete them all, at any time.
- We may remove reviews that break these Terms or look fake.
5. Points and rewards
Earning points. You earn points for: - every honest review – the same points whether it's positive or negative, one review per visit; - inviting a friend or a parent with your personal invite link, once they join. We never ask you for your friend's contact details; - coming back – for example, reviewing in different weeks.
The current points table is shown in the app, and we'll tell you before we change it.
Rewards. Points can be exchanged for rewards given by our partner businesses. We're signing up our first partners now – until a reward is available, your points stay in your account. We'll tell you which rewards are available; they may change or run out.
The rules: - A review never earns more for being positive. Reviews written while earning points are marked, so readers know. - No business can buy a better rating. Partners who give rewards get no say over reviews, ratings or the Teens Approved stamp, and a reward is never tied to reviewing the business that gave it. - When you use a reward at a partner, the partner sees only what's needed to give it to you (such as a reward code) – never your reviews. - Points have no cash value, can't be sold or transferred, and aren't property. We may cancel points earned by cheating, fake reviews, fake invites or multiple accounts. - Teens under 18 can use rewards only after their parent has given their OK. - We don't run prize draws or lotteries. - If we end the points program, we'll give at least 30 days' notice to use your points.
6. Businesses and the Teens Approved stamp
- Businesses can join the pilot free. They see what everyone sees: reviews with nicknames and ages.
- Businesses can also give rewards for teens' points (section 5). Giving rewards never affects ratings, reviews or the stamp.
- Teens Approved reflects teens' ratings of their experience. It is not a safety, health or quality inspection.
- We'll publish the stamp's criteria before we award it. The stamp is earned, never bought: payment, partnership or sponsorship never buys a rating, a change to a review, or the stamp.
- A business may show the stamp only while it holds it, as we provide it, and may not change it or suggest it means anything else. We may withdraw it if the business no longer qualifies or misuses it.
7. What you may not do
Don't: - use the Service if you're under 13, or lie about your age; - harass, threaten or bully anyone, or pretend to be someone else; - post anything illegal, hateful, sexual or violent, or share anyone's personal information (including your own full name, address or phone number) in a review; - post fake reviews, manipulate ratings, or use bots or multiple accounts; - try to access other people's accounts or data, break our security, or scrape, copy or reverse-engineer the Service.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If you see something wrong, tell us at hello@teenteen.co.
8. Places and other services
- Information about places may be wrong or out of date – opening hours, prices, age limits, accessibility and safety. Always check with the place before you go. Parents decide whether a place or activity is right for their family.
- Teenteen doesn't organize, run or supervise any activity or place, and isn't a party to anything you book or buy from a business or another website.
9. Our content and brand
The Service – its software, design, text, characters and logos, and the names "Teenteen" and "Teens Approved" – belongs to Teenteen and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.
10. Leaving and ending
- You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. A parent can delete their teen's account until the teen turns 18.
- At 18, a parent's access to the account ends automatically.
- We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, for safety or legal reasons, or if we end the pilot. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee any place, activity, price, business or third-party service.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows: - we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or enjoyment; - we're not liable for anything that happens at a place or activity you chose, or for third-party services; - our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your rights under consumer protection law where you live.
13. Disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The courts of Tel Aviv–Jaffa have jurisdiction.
- If you're a consumer living elsewhere (for example in the US, the EU or the UK), you keep the protections of your local consumer law and may bring a claim in your local courts.
- Before going to court, please write to us at hello@teenteen.co – most problems can be solved quickly.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll change the date above and, for important changes, tell you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
15. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part can't be enforced, the rest stays in force. If we don't enforce a right, we don't give it up. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to the Teenteen company when it's formed, or to a successor, who will be bound by them.
